Good Eats

Well, this section will include stuff to fix for and during a camping trip. More shall be added as time goes by.

Beef Jerky

Things needed

Now depending upon how much you want buy your meat accordingly. The meat should be as fat free as you can get it. This will save you trimming time.
Garlic salt or powder
Hickroy Smoke Salt
Soy sauce
Water
Season salt
Pepper

Now you may notice above I don't have how much of each. You just flavor it to your own liking. I tend to use more seasoning than most people like. Mix all the ingredients together to your liking. Next take the meat and trim all the fat off. Then slice the meat into strips as thin as you can. Now place the meat in a bowl with the mixture you just made on top of it. Leave in the fridge over night (atleast 6 hours). Take a few paper towels and lay them next to your bowl. Next take the meat out a piece at a time. Place the meat on the paper towel and blot each piece with another paper towel. Turn your oven on to 200 degrees. Take the meat and place them directly on the oven racks. Leave the oven door open a crack. Now let them dry for 6-8 hours. If they are not dry enough for your liking after this time, let them go longer.
