Now the true love of my life is camping. There is nothing better then finding a beautiful spot in the woods and calling it home, even for a few days. I have currently purchased a 3 room cabin tent that I am just ga-ga over. It's really great but it's going to take some practice before I can stake it up quickly. It was alot harder to stake it then I thought it would be. But I'll get the hang of it.

When I camp I don't use air mattresses, tho I am very tempted. No, really, I live roots in my back. Uhuh. No I don't like it, however I have it stuckin my mind that it is cheating to do it any other way. But I will tell you know that my dream is to someday own a pop-up or an R.V. You wanna talk about cheating! lol But for right now I am content with my cabin. That was the first camping dream, to have a cabin tent. And i have got it so I will keep my hopes up.

My favorite places to camp are primative sites. Ones that you have to walk to. They seem to be larger then the sites in the grounds and much more private. My mother and I used to go camping when I was young, but we always camped in the grounds instead of the primative. I think because it was just her and I. Now that I have found the primative sites I can't even imagine camping back in the grounds.

I tend to build wonderful camp fires. It comes very simple for me, but it didn't always. And for those of you out there who have trouble building a good camp fire, I'll tell you how I do it. First, I lay some kindling out, small sticks, bark and newspaper. Then I find four good sized logs and make a square with them. Next, I lay four smaller logs on top of those, but make sure there is room between them for the fire to get air. Next I just light the paper. If the logs have been wet recently you need to add more paper until they start to turn red, then you need to fan them.
